Get Ready to WIGGLE!

Cassidy got to go to the Wiggles concert with Grandma Gimp and Papa Steve. I tried my best to explain what a concert was before but just ended up telling her it would be fun.
Cassidy loves the Wiggles. She loves music and loves to sing and dance with them. Grandma and Grandpa were excited to take her.

Family Pictures

We had family pictures taken while Mike's sister was in town last month. (I know late on posting but what can you do?) We went to memory grove. It was early in the morning so the light was good but Cassidy needed breakfast in the middle so it was hard to get happy pictures from her. But she was very fascinated with the bride that was there for her bridals. Aunt Angela did a great job picking out the cute dresses. What a good looking family.

Strike a Pose

We took Cassidy to the International Peace Gardens for her two year old pictures. Mike convinced me last year to not pay for expensive portraits and buy a nice camera so I can take them myself. I am getting better at taking pictures even though getting a toddler to sit still and look at the camera is next to impossible. But hey JCPenney had a rough time too! I thought these turned out cute and they were free!

How Old Are You Cassidy? .... TWO!

Cassidy turned 2 on the 26th of June. I can't believe she is growing up so fast. She is such a joy to be with and makes me laugh often. I am constantly amazed at how much she can talk. She has the cutest little voice and loves to repeat what I say. When we told her it was going to be her birthday we started asking her how old she was going to be. After some coaching she would respond with a high pitched "Two!" Oh I just love her.

On her birthday morning Mike and I went into her room and woke her with a on tune rendition of Happy Birthday. She just looked at us a little confused. I explained it was her birthday and said she could have anything she wanted for breakfast. (Thinking of course she would pick pancakes or waffles.) When Mike asked her what she wanted she thought for a moment then responded with and excited "Cupcakes!" Well I guess we didn't make any stipulations and it is your birthday so as healthy as it is, okay.

Cassidy was excited to make cupcakes with mommy. She was with me earlier that week when I bought some mini cupcake pans (because mini cupcakes are much better) and she was waiting to make them. Luckily we snuck in a bowl of Crispix, her favorite cereal, while the cupcakes were baking.

Later we went over to Grandma Gimp's for a birthday party. While waiting for everyone to arrive we decorated her birthday cake.

Cassidy loved helping decorate the cupcakes.

Mike did a great job with the cake.

This apron might be a little big.....

This was our first attempt and trying to really decorate a cake. It turned out pretty cute and tasted delicious!

The Rawlings clan.

Cassidy was of course very excited to open her presents.

We got Cassidy some little SnapN'Style dolls. She loves them! She almost didn't want to finish opening presents because she wanted to play with them right then.

But the biggest highlight of her birthday was.....

Her Bike!
I found this bike at a garage sale for $5. What a deal! Cassidy was so excited when I bought it and tried to be as patient as she could to wait for her birthday until she could ride it. She gets excited to wear her shark helmet. She loves "riding just like her Daddy."

Singing Happy Birthday.

Birthday cake... Yummy Yummy!

What a great birthday we had. My little baby girl is two! Time goes by too fast but we have had a great two years with our sweetie so far and are looking forward to so many more fun times and great memories.

Snowshoeing!

Since there is still snow on the ground I figured it wasn't too late to post this fun day that we had snowshoeing back in February.

Cassidy was excited to show Grandpa the snow she had discovered.

Leave it to this little girl to find a slide anywhere. We sat her on the snow bank and she wanted to slide down. She had lots of fun.

So Cute! Especially with those rockin' 80's snow pants!
What a find at Kid to Kid eh?

Let's Go Swimming, Let's Go Swimming!

We vacationed in St. George over Presidents day. Although it was warm enough to bike ride and visit the park, we went to the indoor pool at the rec center to swim. It was fun to take Cassidy there because my Grandpa Green and I used to swim there together. Cassidy had a lot of fun. She is turning into such a fish.

Mike had a good time with Cassidy.
She loved jumping to him from the side of the pool.
What a cute Daddy!

"Higher Daddy! Higher!"
As only a Dad can, Mike threw her as high as he could and she loved it!
You should have heard the giggles coming from this girl.

Cassidy loves any kind of slide.
The water at the bottom of this one way kinda deep so we really had to watch her.

Hooray for a fun vacation!

Sweet Cassidy! (Bom Bom Bom)

Cassidy is such a sweet little girl. She loves to talk and loves to smile. I feel blessed to be her mom. She amazes me everyday with the things she is learning. I want to tell her to slow down because she is growing up so fast.

Daddy always makes her laugh the hardest!

I love this picture!!
"Check out my new hat mom."
Oh sweetie its really a swim diaper but it looks cute on your head anyway.

Licking beaters for the first time. It took some coaxing but once she tried it she loved it!

Ps the title of this post should be sung to a Neil Diamond song.

Living Planet Aquarium

We went with Grandma Gimp to the Aquarium to see the fishes. It was a lot of fun.
Cassidy loved splashing in the water except when the stingrays would swim past then she would take her hands out and have a concerned look. But as soon as they were gone it was back to splashing!

She loved watching the colorful fish swim past.
