Still Thankful

I know that Thanksgiving is long over but I still wanted to take a moment to say how grateful I am for all my amazing blessings. I am so thankful for my wonderful family. What a beautiful little miracle my sweet daughter is and I am so humbled to get the chance to be her mother. I love her so much! She brings me so much joy. How blessed I am to have such a wonderful hard-working husband that makes it possible for me to stay home and raise our beautiful daughter. He is such a great man. Glad I finally saw what was always right in front of me and married him. : )
I am grateful for a warm place to live, a good car to drive and food to eat. As the economy continues to scare us I am grateful for all the abundance that we have.
I could go on and on because I am so blessed and have so much but we will leave it at that.

"Super" Fun First Halloween

Cassidy was Supergirl for her first Halloween. We assembled the costume from the DI, Kid-to-Kid and an iron on symbol made by dad. She looked Super cute!

We went to our friend Alex Smith's Halloween party. Mike dressed up as Clark Kent changing into Superman and I was Lois Lane. Mike made us press passes in photo shop which we printed and my dad laminated. No one should be surprised that Steve has a laminator.

Everyone had fun flying Cassidy around because that is what Supergirl does best! Uncle Jared is great at playing with Cassidy.

"Aunt" Shanae bought the cutest Halloween sleeper ever for Cassidy. She looked so cute in it! Cassidy loved staring at her Jack-o-lantern feet and playing with them.
Mom loved the little pumpkin bum. It was so fun to give a little love pat on the fuzzy pumpkin bum. Thanks SuperNae for the awesome pajamas!

Another fun Halloween outfit. The shirt says "I love Mummy." Yeah for the DI again for the cute pants. Thanks Grandma Gimp!
Cassidy would just like to say, "HOW YOU DOIN'?"

Cousins! Griffin loves his cousin Cassidy. He put his arm around her unprompted!
Aaawwww so sweet.

Cassidy wasn't so sure how she felt about meeting everyone at Dad's work. Some people who aren't so knowledgeable in the amazing comic book world kept calling her Superman and asking how old HE was. (I guess some people don't realize guys shouldn't wear mini skirts) Needless to say Mike wanted to get her ears pierced the next day. That is still to come...

Mike shaved his head for his escaped psychotic inmate costume. Later we realized that father and daughter matched and just had to get a picture. Once again the piercing of the ears will be coming....

I have two little hands!

Cassidy has discovered how to hold things. She loves holding her toys and eating her burp cloth. She has also discovered how to pull her binky out and put it back in. She will even hold her bottle for a bit. What an amazing little girl. But her favorite thing to hold is her Piglet friend. Thanks Aunt Angela for giving me a toy to snuggle with and put in my mouth.

All Bundled Up!

The weather has turned cold so Cassidy is all bundled up ready for outdoor adventure. We call her our little Jedi.

the AMAZING blessing dress

Mike wanted to have our daughter's blessing dress made from my wedding dress so Aunt Terry made this dress out of my wedding dress. So Beautiful!

Grant, Nathan, my Dad and I rode from Tony Grove down to White Pine Lake, and on to Bunchgrass trail. This was an amazing ride with plenty of falls. Grant held the record with four biffs. Nathan had his first mountain bike trip and was the only one of us who didn't get scratched in some manner.

This is Desolation Lake. Matt Budd and I were racing the sun to make it down the trail in time. It started with a grueling uphill correctly named as "Puke" hill and then finishes with seven mile of uninterupted downhill goodness. Towards the bottom I was barrelling down a single track and was turning the corner when I saw bambi! Yeah but her mother never told her not to play in the road because she was stopped right on the trail. I almost had a collision with her. Fun Times!

What Downhill?

I got a new bike! Yep that's ride it's gotten quite a bit of use this last month. I have taken it over 25 miles so far, and my top speed is 26.7 miles per hour. It's a Giant Reign 1. This bike does what I tell it to and does not break down on the trail!

Mike has an amazing skill for wrapping Cassidy in a burrito.

One of our favorite things is to fall asleep with her. Cassidy is amazing at cuddling. The nurses in the nursury said she wasn't in her bassinette long when she was there because she was so rediculously good looking!

Cassidy Tenille Rawlings was born Thursday June 26 at 5:28 PM. She was 6 pounds and 13 ounces. Also Cassidy was 20 and a half inches long. She is such a joy to have in our home. We were able to bring her home on Monday in the afternoon. Her room was all set up and ready for her to come. She is so small that we don't have any clothes that will fit her. The good news is that the clothes we do have will last longer. We look forward to keeping everybody posted on her progress.

This was from when the Budds and us went backpacking up the backside of Timpanogas! It was so sweet! We spent three days up in the mountains eating freeze dried meals. We saw a ton of mountatin goat that would let us just walk within a few feet of them! The nights were very cold and windy. We were a little scared because we were in "Bear Country" and we kept hearing rustling over by our bear bag. I'm sure they were just goats, but it was stil very scary because earlier that year a little boy was dragged out of his tent and mauled.
Okay Okay Okay!

Allright so I am going to start my blog today since I have the day off. Unfortunately most of my day went to writing my paper for Business Law. Oh well, I'll do what I can. So we'll just start with some pics from the year and I'll share where we were. This pic was up the Quarry Canyon when Rachelle and I went Snow Shoeing
